Personal data that we process
SmartSD processes your personal data due you using our services and / or because you provided your data to us. Below, you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:
- Company name
- First and [last] name
- Address
- Telephone number
- E-mail address
- IP address
- Chamber of Commerce number
- VAT number
- Debtor number
- Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone
- Internet browser and device type
Special and / or [sensitive] personal data that we process
Our website and / or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16. Unless they have permission from parents or guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. SmartSD processes your personal data for the following purposes:

Your account
In order to create an account you must have a valid Chamber of Commerce number. SmartSD only does business with companies. If you request an account as a private individual, your data will be removed from our system without prior notice.
We need the following information to create an account:
- Company Name
- First and [last] name
- Address
- Country and language choice
- Telephone number
- E-mail address
In order to create an account, you must register as a customer. [After] verification, your data is supplemented with your debtor number, linked sales manager and an access level is assigned.
Automated decision making
SmartSD does not make decisions on the basis of automated processing about matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, [without] human (such as a SmartSD employee) influence.
How long do we keep personal data
SmartSD does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:

Sharing of personal data with third parties
SmartSD does not sell your data to third parties and only shares your data if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. SmartSD remains responsible for these processes.

To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we request that you send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, blank out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and (on Dutch passports) citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. SmartSD will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks.

SmartSD takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes.
