You always need 2 of these units required per link (1 as sender and 1 as a receiver), each unit requires a power supply of the type VPSU-12V-U or VPSU-57V-800-EU, point-to-point distance for a 100Base-T connection: 690m with cat5e and 820m with cat6 (reference the table in the documentation)
