SmartSD has recently become a reseller for Thermocable. Thermocable is based in the UK and is a leading manufacturer of cable-based sensor and detection technologies. They are constantly innovating to develop the best and most cutting-edge products. Their two main product lines that SmartSD will be selling are digital and analogue linear heat detection.

Digital Linear Heat Detection (Non-Resettable)
The ProReact range of digital linear heat detection cables are designed to activate an alarm when a specific temperature is reached. When the temperature around the cable reaches the activation temperature, the two cores quickly come into contact and activate an alarm. These cables are known as “digital” because they are “off” below the activation temperature and switch “on” irreversibly when the activation temperature is reached.

Analogue Linear Heat Detection (Resettable)
This unique sensor cable and its associated control method continuously respond to temperature changes. The technology offers the possibility to program an early warning signal for an actual alarm. If the temperature around the ProReact Analogue LHD cable reaches the pre-alarm point, the unit activates a warning, giving the user time to investigate the risk area. Only when the temperature reaches the specified set alarm point does the control unit activate a full alarm.
