New version of SPC Connect and new Mobile App

Published on: 27-03-2024

Vanderbilt introduces SPC Connect version 4.1 along with the new SPC Connect Mobile App. In this V4.1 release, a licensing module has been added for upgrading SPCevo panels. Through the use of licenses, it's now possible to upgrade an SPC42 to an SPC52 and an SPC53 to an SPC63.

The advantage here is that in many cases, there's no need to purchase new hardware when expanding a system. This saves a significant amount of time and money.

The upgrade licenses can be ordered for both online and offline panels. Licenses are directly provided from SPC Connect. To order these licenses, the SPC Connect "Company Manager" needs to set up SmartSD as the distributor responsible for delivering and invoicing the licenses. After this setup, authorized personnel can request licenses via SPC Connect.

New Version of SPC Connect App

Starting March 29th, the new version of the SPC Connect App will be available. It aligns completely with the new ACRE/Vanderbilt visual style. The key new features include:

  • "Quick actions," allowing frequently used actions or functions to be marked as favorites.
  • Permission for critical notifications, even when the phone is on "do not disturb" mode.
  • Face ID and fingerprint authentication.
  • Ability to pin areas, zones, outputs, and doors of a panel as favorites on the main screen.

New SPC Connect Cloud Training at SmartSD
SPC Connect is a cloud-based web environment for managing SPC systems. Over the years, more and more functionality has been added to SPC Connect. Additionally, the number of registered panels has significantly increased, making the use of SPC Connect increasingly important.

Some features of SPC Connect include fully configuring and managing SPC panels, as well as automatically fetching and storing panel configurations in the SPC Connect Cloud. To fully leverage and set up these and many other features, we'll soon be organizing special training sessions. More information on this will be available soon.
