Types of Genetec Training Courses
Genetec Security Center – Omnicast Techn. Cert. (OTC)
This official Genetec Omnicast Training Course provides participants with hands-on knowledge of the video management component of Genetec Security Center. The course covers the architecture, installation, and configuration of Omnicast, including video management, user management, alarms, and recording management. The training concludes with an examination. Upon successful completion, participants receive the official Genetec certification.

Prerequisites
A solid understanding of networking and video surveillance is recommended. To ensure participants possess the required IT fundamentals, an online assessment questionnaire is available. Basic database knowledge is also recommended. After registration, participants will receive additional introductory training materials that can be reviewed in advance to build the required background knowledge.

Genetec Security Center - Synergis Techn. Cert. (STC)
The official two-day online Genetec Synergis Training Course (STC) is delivered by a certified Genetec instructor. This course focuses primarily on the access control component of the Genetec Security Center platform.
This official Genetec Synergis Training Course (STC) provides participants with comprehensive hands-on knowledge of access control within Genetec Security Center. Throughout the course, participants gain insight into the system architecture, installation, and configuration of Synergis, as well as the management of access control hardware, doors, cardholders, access rights, and alarms. The training concludes with an examination that is taken immediately after the course. Upon successfully passing the exam, participants receive their personal Genetec certification.

Genetec Security Center - Enterprise Techn. Cert. (ETC)
This course provides participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and managing the advanced features of Genetec Security Center. Special attention is given to key functions, system extensions, and architecture, including Failover. Participants also learn how to design new video management systems and access control infrastructures. The course concludes with a practical open-book examination. Participants who successfully pass the exam receive their personal Enterprise Genetec certification.
Agenda
- Install and configure Security Center in multi-server and multi-site environments, including Expansion Servers, role assignment, and video redirection.
- Understand and configure Directory security, including TLS, encryption, authentication, and cybersecurity.
- Configure Archiver encryption and server roles for high availability and failover.
- Install and manage Omnicast or Security Center federations, including remote database connections and global cardholders.
- Gain insight into cloud deployment options and available plug-ins for integration with third-party systems.
- Manage and configure extensions such as GSC Mobile, Web Client, and Plan Manager.
- Design new video management systems and access control infrastructures.
- Complete a practical open-book certification exam.
Prerequisites
Before attending the Enterprise Technical Certification (ETC) course, participants must have successfully completed either the Omnicast Technical Certification (OTC) or the Synergis Technical Certification (STC) and passed the corresponding certification exam.

After successfully completing one of these training courses and passing the certification exam, participants receive their personal Genetec certification. The certification is issued in the participant's name and not in the name of their company.
These training courses are delivered online by a certified Genetec instructor.
A maximum of three registrations per company will be accepted.
All training courses are conducted in English. After you register through our website, we will submit your registration request to Genetec, subject to availability and approval. Once your registration has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email containing the course schedule and access details.
Participant Cancellation Policy: Genetec training fees are non-refundable. However, cancellations made up to two weeks before the start of the training are eligible for a 100% training credit, which can be used towards a future training course. Any cancellation or modification made within two weeks of the training start date will incur an administration fee of €350 per participant. Participant substitutions are accepted at no additional cost. All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email.
