Genetec has announced a new partnership with Axis Communications by introducing Axis Powered by Genetec. 

Powered by Genetec is a first in the security industry: it enables the deployment of advanced Genetec software directly on device firmware. This product line will soon be available from SmartSD. Axis Powered by Genetec combines the Genetec Synergis™ access control software with the AXIS A1210 and AXIS A1610 network door controllers. 

The hardware is easy to implement by integrators. It features the innovative access control software, eliminating the friction that can accompany traditional software/hardware integrations. In addition, equipment in the Axis Powered by Genetec program benefits from continuous product and firmware enhancements, new features and major cybersecurity updates.

Axis Powered by Genetec combines hardware and software in one unit, simplifying the installation process and reducing maintenance. The open platform expands the Genetec ecosystem of non-proprietary systems and gives customers more flexibility to scale as their physical security needs evolve.
